Crushcrushcrush.

So, in a couple of my earlier posts, I mentioned a group of people that I was jamming with, that could possibly become a band if we were good together. Then it kinda fizzled and never happened.

Well, it's happening now! Like legitimately this time! The drummer (Stobez) bassist (Grace) and guitarist (Jess) and now new guitarist/secondary singer all got together and played through our songs, Crushcrushcrush by Paramore and Wonderwall by Oasis, and it was successful! I can't wait until it finally all comes together. Maybe we can preform at the garage. :D

Well I'm pumped.

In other news, homecoming is coming up on Saturday and I've yet to get a dress. :o I hope to be getting one sometime this week. I'm excited for it, and I really really really hope all my plans for it work out. 0.0

In other other news...

I am so not ready for the cold. My house is freezing and my sweatshirts are not that warm.
My acoustic guitar still needs a new string. :(
Spirit week is this week! **
My play is going well. Though my friends and I all assume we're gonna bomb the dance...
I still need a haircuttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. >:/

** Spirit week for homecoming:
Monday- Prep day (I plan on curling my hair, wearing a pink sequined shirt and cute skirt, and doing makeup how preps do it.)
Tuesday- Rocker day (I plan on wearing a bright yellow puffy skirt over black leggings with a cool shirt and fingerless gloves. Also with a studded belt and jewelry, and I plan on scening my hair and dying it non-permanent purple.)
Wednesday- Jock day (Just gonna wear mom's old track uniform thing. A sweatshirt. I'm not sporty. :P)
Thursday- Nerd day (I plan on wearing suspenders with a plaid nerd shirt tucked in with my flip up glasses and silly socks. Oh and my awesome shoes I colored.)
Friday- School spirit day (My school makes "homecoming pants" for our spirit day. Each class of people gets a color and we take that color of pants and super-decorate them and wear them to school/ the game. Usually the floors are COVERED in glitter by the end of the day.)

Pumped. :D

Hello.

You've got some splainin' to do!

Yeah, so past few day's I've neglected this blog. I guess you could say I went on an emotional and mental journey. I guess?

Well, I wanted to write out my inner feelings in a creative and inspiring way. It's challenging. Thus, I wasn't on this blog. You see, I'm not going to share my deepest secrets over blogspot, for anyone who knows me can read them. Anyway, while I was off being deep and stuff, I had some fun time's in-between.

Huh. You think I'd remember everything I did in the past few days. Time to check Facebook. Ahh got it. So I'll start at friday since I don't remember thursday at all. So friday I remember having nothing to do, and I ended up going to this restaurant and seeing a band play. They were all older guys (quite old) but they were really great at what they did.

I found out from my dad that the guitarist might become my guitar teacher, which is exciting because then I get to learn more guitar. :D And this guy was real good. Oh. And later on that night I wrote the beginning of a song. :D

On saturday, I went shopping at a mall with Grace and Abby. We three being completely crazy, had an amazing time.

Real quick, just a note, I must fill you in that Grace and I have a summer bucket list. One of the things to do on the list includes having an "emo/scene/goth day" and a "gansta day."

I ended up buying a black beret, my gangsta shirt (obviously for gangsta day), a bright yellow tutu (for scene day), and purple hair dye (also for scene day).

FTW!

*cough*

It was exciting. We ended up coming back to my house after also buying frozen yogurt (me), cinnamon sticks (Abby), and pretzels (Grace) and taking pictures in our tutus. I'll post pics on here later.

Then I got home and sulked for reasons not known by you.

Today I played guitar hero for about 6 hours and then ate dinner with some family on the porch. Later on I went and saw fireworks (happy 4th!) and met up with a friend and caught up.

When I went home I played some piano, some guitar... sulked a bit...

And now I'm here. Hello.

Believe and be a Hippie

So, coming up I'm gonna get together with a few friends and acquaintances to "jam," or to play music together. I sing and play guitar (piano might come in handy later) and we have another guitarist, a bassist, and a drummer. We're going to see how we sound together on thursday and talk about some songs to do and whatnot. My friend Grace, the bassist, suggested a song with 2 guitar parts. I'd be learning the 2nd guitar part. Thus, I thought I better brush up in my guitar, since it's been awhile.

Well I'd been wanting to learn a new song for some time... and so I looked around on my Youtube account and found the song Believe, by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Since it was in the key of E, and that's all I can play in so far, I figured I'd learn it. And the fact that I LOVE IT is a bonus as well.

(Random thought: Why can't "as well" be one word? It should be "aswell." I like that better.)

So I ended up learning the song, even though the stupid Bm chord gave me trouble for awhile. But I got it, and now I'm really excited. My fingers are happily getting callused again. :D

It's been awhile since I've been able to play a full song on guitar... and I can honestly say that I forgot how amazing it feels. I'm like... inspired. It's great. :)

So on to another thing I've been into lately... unique fashion. I've been on Lookbook a lot lately to scope out some new looks, and I totally want to try 'em out. I don't care if they end up looking stupid. I can make stupid look gooood. I just want to have fun with it, ya know? But preferably with friends. So here's what I wanna do:
I wanna get a bunch of friends and their outfits and just do a major photo shoot! Just for the heck of it. Dress up hippie style, 80's style (my fave), vintage style, etc, etc. And then just go crazy and take pictures. Oh, and don't forget the makeup. That's my thing. :)

So that's about it for now. If you want a picture of what I'm doing and what my day was like:
My mom decided to make me clean my room (Now I can see the floor! I need to vacuum...) And then I went to my church's small groups (all the girls go to someone's house and have fun and chat about Jesus stuff.) It was awesome. We went to this beautiful house and she had a hot tub. (Awww yeeeah) And we chatted and played 10 fingers and ate nummy junk food. Then we went in and talked about the book of Ruth. (Girl power! Aww yeah!) It was quite entertaining actually, and really interesting.
Then I came home to my dad's house, where I learned the song. Now I'm currently typing this on my bed, with my beautiful and lovely electric Fender guitar sitting next to me. :D

'Till next time,
May your mother's cousin never be assaulted by Attila the Hun at the supermarket.

And... I'm out.
